Terms of use

Not for emergencies. Groupyid is a best-effort local group relay. Never rely on it for 911, urgent safety notices, medical alerts, or guaranteed delivery.

Scope

These terms govern the Groupyid Local Android app and this informational website. Stage 1 provides no Groupyid online account or developer-hosted backup.

Gateway-administrator responsibilities

Use a compatible device, dedicated line, and mobile plan you are authorized to control.
Obtain and retain lawful consent before messaging anyone.
Honor STOP and other opt-out requests.
Verify numbers, roles, aliases, SIM selection, queue limits, Dry Run behavior, and carrier approval before Live mode.
Protect the gateway phone, local PIN, exported files, and signing/install sources.
Comply with carrier rules, anti-spam laws, privacy laws, and community-safety requirements.

Prohibited use

Do not use Groupyid for unsolicited messaging, harassment, fraud, impersonation, illegal content, emergency dispatch, surveillance, bypassing carrier controls, or interfering with another person’s device or data.

Messages, carrier service, and fees

Members remain responsible for their content. Do not send confidential, regulated, or highly sensitive information through ordinary carrier messaging. Carriers and recipient devices control availability, sender presentation, throughput, filtering, roaming, fees, threading, callbacks, and delivery receipts. Standard messaging and data charges may apply.

Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Groupyid is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, message delivery, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
