Local carrier messaging

One familiar number. The whole group included.

Groupyid turns a dedicated Android phone and mobile line into a carefully controlled SMS gateway, so smartphones and flip phones can participate in the same consent-based group.

How it works

Built around the phone line your group already understands.

The dedicated Android gateway receives ordinary carrier texts, applies local membership and safety rules, and queues approved messages for enrolled recipients.

1

Use a dedicated line

Install Groupyid on a compatible Android phone and make it the default SMS app.

2

Enroll with consent

Add members, verify exact numbers, and record permission before group traffic is sent.

3

Text the group number

Members send normal texts. Flip phones need no app, account, or data plan.

Local by design

Your Android phone remains the gateway.

The Stage 1 app has no Groupyid account, developer server, Internet permission, analytics, ads, tracking, contact upload, or remote backup. Carrier SMS/MMS still travels through the selected carrier and recipient devices.

No developer collectionApp data stays on the gateway.
Dry Run firstTest routing without real carrier sends.
Selected-SIM bindingQueue work stays tied to the gateway SIM.
STOP winsOpt-outs cancel unsent ordinary delivery.

Keep every kind of phone in the conversation.

Start in Dry Run, verify the gateway SIM and each member, then enable carrier delivery locally only after the group is ready.
